In this week’s player episode Adam offers up a strategy for players to improve their game. It starts with understanding every players role on all the offensive and defensive sets your team runs. Most players know their role on each set, but few players know and understand everyone’s role on every set, and coaches put lots of trust into the players that do. To really know if you understand the ins and outs of your teams plays, try to explain a few of your sets to someone who has never played the game of basketball before. To help them understand, you will have to have complete knowledge of exactly what each players role is on the set. If you struggle to get them to understand, you may have more studying of your playbook than you thought you did! We hope this episode challenges you to take your knowledge of the game to deeper levels than ever before.
Adam and TJ are back with a powerful episode discussing one of the hardest components of sport, and that is the pressure to win. Should winning games be the only metric for success, or should it be more related to how well your team performs in relation to its potential? As always, we’d love your feedback on twitter shared to us at @hardwood_hustle!
