This week we have a special guest, Head Coach Tony Bennett. He’s a 3-time National Coach of the Year and is entering his 16th season as a head coach. In 2019, Coach Bennett led Virginia to their first Final Four and rebounded from a loss in the first round of the NCAA Tournament the year prior, to defeat Texas Tech in overtime to win their first National Championship.
Listen to this episode to hear the history and meaning behind the 5 pillars of their team culture, how Coach Bennett sets up his program for success by focusing on simplicity with execution, and how you can apply their winning principles to your team.
I truly love what Tony Bennett said as a coach and a man of faith. Its not who you are but its what you’re doing that speaks volume in individuals lives, actions will always speak louder than words. When I coach a team I always said I don’t want to be know for how many games one nor banner hung, but I want to be known for the lives I’ve changed.
Stay Blessed
